Fintech projected to become a $1.5 trillion industry by 2030
Financial technology revenues are projected to grow sixfold from $245 billion to $1.5 trillion by 2030, according to a new report released today by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and QED Investors. The fintech sector, which currently holds a 2% share of the $12.5 trillion in global financial services revenue, is estimated to grow up to 7%, of which banking fintechs are expected to constitute almost 25% of all banking valuations worldwide by 2030.
Global trends in supply chain finance
According to the World Supply Chain Finance Report 2022, supply chain finance fund volumes showed a significant increase in 2021 over 2020 as the global volume rose by 38% to $1.8bn and funds in use by 41% to $713bn. Banks traditionally dominated the industry; however, recently, fintech companies that provide platforms and software-based services to support supply chain finance, also called SCF, operations have entered the market.
What does responsible lending look like in today’s economy
As the cost-of-living crisis deepens and inflationary pressures affect household budgets, lenders are seeing the market change considerably in front of their eyes.
